As many of you know from the recent article in the New York Times, prescribing and regulating medication of students is a sensitive topic (Click here for article).
As educators we have seen many children misdiagnosed and over medicated, in particular children with attention weaknesses or anxiety. We believe medication can be helpful if it is prescribed for the right diagnosis and is closely monitored. We know there are many other options, which should be considered, and have been proven to make a significant difference in a child’s life.
Please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org or call 203-661-2483 to set up a meeting to discuss the best options for your child. You do have choices and should explore all of them to be comfortable with the decisions you are making.
We will also be hosting a roundtable discussion to further understand these alternatives, which will be held in early March. Details will follow next week.
